Misc.I also had the same problem finding this cookie. My Grandmother made them every Christmas and sent them to us in a box. There are several variations of this cookie. They are a spice cookie with Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, brown sugar or molasses, raisins & chopped nuts. Some recipes will have coffee and newer versions have chocolate chips. Just search for Hermit Cookies and you will be amazed how many different fun recipes there are. I'm trying all of them to find that one special cookie I remember sent in a special box each year.
