ISO: recipe for soft chocolate candy using cocoa and butter

Long ago a friend's father made this chocolate candy that I have tried to recreate without success. It was cooked on the stove and contained cocoa and butter for sure, but I don't know what else. Once it was done he would pour it onto a buttered sheet and it would harden. Not like fudge or brittle, but softer. After a few hours we would break it into pieces and eat it. It would almost shatter once it cooled and was ready to eat.

Does anyone know what I am talking about? It was soooo long ago and I paid little attention to how things were prepared!
