ISO: Runny Peach Preserves - Help, please

I used a simple recipe from "Home Canning" and yielded 9 pints, but they are all the consistancy of sauce. Can I redo this somehow? This is my first attempt at canning, so please be specific with any advice. If all else fails, I'll just call it ice cream topping! LOL
