Recipe: Italian Party Meatballs (served on pretzel sticks)
Appetizers and SnacksITALIAN PARTY MEATBALLS
1 pound ground beef
1 cup shredded provolone cheese
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup spaghetti sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, crushed
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup spaghetti sauce, divided use
Pretzel sticks (optional, for serving)
Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix all ingredients except 1 cup spaghetti sauce and the pretzel sticks.
2. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Place in ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2X10 1/2 X 1 inch.
Bake about 12 minutes or until beef is no longer pink in center and juice is clear; drain well.
Meanwhile, heat 1 cup spaghetti sauce in 1-quart saucepan over medium heat until hot.
TO SERVE:
Spear meatballs with pretzel sticks and dip into spaghetti sauce.
Makes about 40 meatballs.
