ISO: Salsa for Mexican tacos

i'm trying to find a recipe for salsa used on shredded beef tacos. A local Mexican lady makes this but I can't convince her to give up the recipe. The salsa is a kind of dark yellow color and tastes like it is cooked. Thanks for any ideas.
