ISO: Sand Noodles-(sweet) Austrian?

My Grandmother was from Austria/Hungary and used to make a noodle dish when I was younger. I remember it being kind of grainy like cream of wheat and sweet, but it had noodles in the recipes.We called it sand noodles but she had a German name for it that I don't recall. If anyone can figure this out I'd be very very grateful.
