ISO: silicon dipped light bulbs (craft recipe)

Misc.
Recipe (tried) I could not get the light bulbs to come out smooth. It seemed that the silicon caulk was too thick, although I used the outdoor type that was recommended. I even went to a second store to buy more and try it again. But the results were the same. HELP! I would love to be able to make these!
