ISO: Spice Bar Cake

This is a request for a recipe that harkens back to the 1970's...When I was a young girl, the A&P Supermarket carried what was called Spanish Bar (a cake). It was about 10" long, maybe 4-5" high as well as wide. It would be similar to a spice cake and had an off-white colored icing, that could have been cream cheese (sorry,I was too young to pay attention to the details!). Those living in the East Coast States may remember this better, as I frequently would buy it for my grandmother who was living in Pennsylvania. Does anyone have a recipe that would be like this? I would appreciate any help in my request! Thank you in advance. Karen
