ISO: Substitution for bulgur wheat - I have information for you

Misc.
KATY:
Good morning. You have recieved some good considerations for substition. Here is another. "GRAINS". Your super market sells 5 grain bags... 7 grains... 9 grains & 10 grains packs usually by "BOBS" flour milling co. I think they are located in Idaho or close by. I use their 10 grains & it is top quality stuff. Remember, always soak these products with equal amount of water, ie, 7 oz of grains.... 7 oz of hot water. Mix well & when cooled, wrap well & place in refridge. minimum 4 hours till over-nite if neccessary but no more than approx 12 hours. Katy, remember now, the amount of water that you use in the soaking make adjustment for the water in the recipe, because even though you may not be able to see the water in the grain concoction, it is still there & you will be able to understand this when you are mixing all the ingredients in your mixer bowl. I hope this post provides you with some insight. Good luck & have a nice day young lady.
