Recipe: Rich's (Bakery) Coconut Cake with Lemon Curd Filling and 7 Minute Frosting (not Hough's)
Desserts - CakesLike most of the Hough Bakery recipes, this recipe was never saved or made it to the Internet. It is also not available in the Hough Catering Cookbook. Perhaps you can adapt the following recipe. I have never tried the Hough cake you wanted but this does seems similar to what you describe. Someone does need to start making similar recipes. Good luck and please let us know how you make out!
If this is not it, please describe the cake in greater detail (type of cake, type of fillings, any add ins, type of frostings, etc.) so I can look for another recipe. Please remember I have never seen or tasted this cake so I do need a good description of the cakes to search for similar recipes. Any ideas of what ingredients were used are also helpful, flavorings, what it looked like, texture of cake, etc. Anything you can remember about the cake would be helpful.
