ISO: Sweet Poppyseed Dressing (clear, not creamy)

While I was working out of state, I ordered a poppyseed dressing from a restaurant that was sweet, was not creamy and did not have an onion flavor; is almost clear in color, except for the poppy seeds.
The cook told me it was an old recipe that her mother gave to her years ago.
I have never been able to find another poppyseed dressing that tasted like it. "La Martinique" brand is the closest brand that has a similar taste but is not as sweet, close to the same color.
Does anyone have a similar recipe?
