Hi Gina,
I'm in total agreement with you on the differences between the food in Miami vs. the food in Tampa.
We went to several different restaurants in Tampa, and the food wasn't even close to what you get in Miami. We went to a sub-shop in Tampa, and ordered a Cuban sandwich. They didn't even put pork on it. It was more like a ham and cheese on Cuban Bread. I guess I'll just have to settle for French Bread. It's close, but no cigar.

Last night, I fixed some Cuban Pork Chops, Yucca, Plantains, and a homemade Mojo, which was really tasty. I do most of the cooking in our house, and we made up a plate and took it to my wifes mother, who had to work last night. I think she liked it, as she didn't do much talking between bites. Too bad that doesn't work on my wife. Ha ha!

Anyway, to all of you who've contributed to my Cuban Bread recipe requests, my deepest thanks. My Italian Herb Bread is still a good eats, so till I have another request, I'll talk at you all later.
