Thank You: Thanks Gladys, he is recovering nicely, in fact I am headed home today

after he and I attend a baseball game. He drove his vehicle for the first time since the surgery last evening and did fine. He is busy planning a trip to his Navy reunion the middle of the month, a trip to Europe to see his niece who will be traveling there with her high school band and a trip to China with his nephew. He just GOT BACK from China where he taught English to 4 classes of 75 high school students a day for two weeks in March and then went on a boat tour up the Yangtze River. He was there when he was 17 years old in the Navy so it was quite a nostalgic trip for him. He went back to the hotel where they hung out listening to jazz on their shore leaves in Shanghai. The hotel personell told him they didn't have jazz anymore, that it was at another hotel. He went there, and believe it or not, THE SAME band is still playing! They are in their 80's and still playing for a packed house every time. Dad showed them his old pictures and they welcomed he and his group as a special guests. Had him come up on the stage while they played Chatanooga Choo-Choo. I'm so glad he was able to take this trip, he has been wanting to go back for some time and wanted to go before they flooded the Three Rivers Gorge completely.
