Recipe: Wonderful Layered Peach Dessert

WONDERFUL LAYERED PEACH DESSERT

FOR THE CRUST:
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup butter, melted
FOR THE FILLING:
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
1 (8 oz) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
1/2 tsp almond flavoring
2 to 3 cups canned peaches, drained

TO MAKE THE CRUST:
Combine flour, pecans, and brown sugar. Add the butter; mix well Press mixture in bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 18-20 minutes. Cool.

TO MAKE THE FILLING:
Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together with an electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Fold in whipped topping and almond flavoring. Drain peaches and fold into the whipped topping mixture.

Spoon the filling over cooled crust and refrigerate for several hours before serving.
