While we're on the subject of weddings, be sure your stepdaughter opens EVERY box a present comes in and doesn't assume ANYTHING!!

When Herb and I were married, we received, among our presents, an iron.
When we wrote our thank you notes, that one went, "Thank you for the iron..."
About 6 months later, my iron died and I opened the box. It wasn't an iron after all! The sender is a potter and it was a set of candlesticks and she had used the iron box and sealed it with a glue gun!!! Oops!
