A classic failure story...

Years ago my mother learned to make a delicious creme brulee (still the standard to which I hold all other creme brulees). One day she somehow mixed up the sugar and salt and made it with a ton of SALT. You should have seen my dad's face when he took his first bite and discovered the mistake! We still get a laugh out of this story (and my mom is still an extraordinary cook who occasionally makes mistakes).
