Elly - Bless you! This is extremely close to my original recipe, and I think I could modify it. I love anything lemony - what's different about this recipe is it's missing the middle layer of lemon filling - however, there is a lot of lemon in that crust - I wonder if I could do everything as it says, and make a regular tart lemon filling and put the nuts/meringue layer on top of that prior to baking.
I plan to make it as is first - who knows, I may like it that way and not even bother with the filling layer!

It's back to work tomorrow, so I won't get to make it until next weekend but I'll let you know how it turns out - again, THANKS!
