Recipe: Hey June, same recipe I posted in Mar.98

Misc.
Hi June,
The recipe Jean posted is the same one I posted for you on the Nostalgia board on March 1st, 1998.
I printed it at that time and just compared it to Jean's.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June, I'm posting this as a new message, because I don't know if you scroll all the way down to your original request or not.
I posted a request for you on the TSR board and someone posted this recipe, from the Laura Ingalls Wilder Country Cookbook.
LEMON STICKS
1/2 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar, divided
2 eggs seperated
1 cup flour
2 tsps. grated lemon rind
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350*. Grease a 9x13 pan
Cream butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Beat in egg yolks one at a time until batter is light yellow.
Mix in flour and lemon rind. With fingers press dough into prepared pan.
Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Will be firm but not brown.
While dough is baking, make meringue by beating egg whites to soft peaks.
Still beating, gradually add remaining 1/2 cup sugar and lemon juice.
Sprinkle nuts over dough and spread meringue over nuts.
Bake 20-25 minutes, until the meringue is brown.
This may not even be close to what you are looking for, but I thought I would post it just in case.
