Candy Weather
Misc. I checked the book and there was no specific winter recipe but it did speak of "good candy weather". This is a fair, dry cool day. According to the book, if some candies are made on a wet day, rain or snow, the candy will take longer to cook. I would take that to only consider humidity and not temperature.
