Carolyn, You Were With Me In Spirit This Staurday...

Misc.
Hi Carolyn!

Were your ears ringing this past Saturday? I went to a few garage salaes and one in particular, I said to myself, "gosh, sure wish Miss Carolyn were with me right now"!!

I found Cooking Light magazines for 25 cents each and Cooking Light Annual Cookbooks for $1 a piece. At the same sale, I found a black leather upright letter organizer for $2.00. I use it to put my cards and envelopes, stamps and address labels in. It was new too!! I also found a brand new box of tea cup cards, real sweet, for 25 cents!

I can't wait to go up to NC...maybe I'll get lucky at a yeard sale and find some McCoy pottery planters. Usually I find 40's things that I love to decorate with, especially the pottery batter bowls and kitchen items.

Just know that I was thinking of ya!! Hope you like MaryJane's website, it's real cool. ANother one you might find fun is the Gypsygirls. They're real funky!! It's called Gypsyville by the Junk Gypsy Co.

They were just featured in Country Living and Country Home mags. They go around junking in Texas buying funky items and selling them. They also have a get-together twice a year where the gals show up in cowboy boots and funky dresses. Check out the pics at their website, it's a hoot!! They also sell real funky jewelry...

Hugs, Gina

  • Below is the recipe I've used unfailingly for over 35 years. Besides having a good recipe, the technique for pressing the dough is key. I never chill the dough, because it makes it just too hard to press through the disk...
