Cassatta Siciliana is the name of an Italian Cake.

Misc.
"Sicily, with sweet stops at Trastevere's Feast of the Madonna for Sformato Trasteverino (a kiwi custard tart) and Marineo's St. Ciro Festival for Cassatta (a chocolate ricotta refrigerator cake)."

It is not often that we have Cassatta in Puerto Rico, except in those great banquets where a lot of the dishes are brought by airplane and where the seats per couple are one or two thousand dollars (for charities or politics). Now, cassatta is available for more people through two GELATO stores, one at Monte Hiedra & the other in front of Garden Hills.

I can find the recipe dear karen if you are interested in it.

Your Puerto Rican friend,

Gladys/PR
