Corn chips and salsa

Misc.

My daughter (age 18) loves anything Mexican flavored. Corn chips and salsa makes a wonderful dip and IT IS EASY.

Sam's Wholesale Club sells the corn chips in huge bags, two to the case, for under $6 (I think). We use these for our church youth group constantly, along with canned cheese dip to make nachos. I bag serves about 20 of our youth, so 1 box would generously serve at least 40. Since there is other food available, you could probably use the package serving amounts and bring enough for about half the expected number attending. (That is if you are planning to provide more than one type of chip and dip.) Even with that, I would guess you would have plenty left over.

If you have access to something to keep it warm, my daughter makes a dip called "Oklahoma Dip". I don't have the recipe right now but would be glad to get it from her if you are interested. I think it makes about 4 quarts, she usually makes it in the crockpot. It is also served with corn chips.

I think this is a great idea. My daughter's graduation party was at our house. I didn't think she was going to stay, after she planned it, because she had been invited to parties at her friends' homes.
