Dishwasher overload!

Any advise on selecting a new dishwasher? Moving into a house (new to us) and replacing the dishwasher is on the top of the list of things to do! Been looking @ GE, Whirlpools and Maytags on the net and wondering if anyone has purchased a dw lately with all the new bells and whistles -- delayed timer, quiet packages, etc.
