Eggplant results

Misc.
Hi Micha,

Yeah, now I know I am saying your name correctly.

So I bought my eggplant and I didn't have any problem telling males and females apart.

I thought I was doing well at the store but I asked another lady just to be sure. she told me you have to peel them.

I didn't know anything about that! I asked her like an apple and she said yes. Well, I came home and performed a nice little search and what did I find? At first I found about 15 sites saying that you want to buy the males because the females are bitter! I'm thinking, that is exactly the opposite of what you found! Great! Well then info. that agreed with you came up.

So OK. Now I have to find THE correct answer. I looked on some sites I thought would be authoritative and I haven't had one expert talk about male and female, round, oval, thing.

I have had a few sites that said there is no such thing as male and female. I am going to continue searching here and there until I finally have a clear answer from an expert source.

Anyway I made the recipe I already had. I think I got it from this site. It didn't have any meat in it so I baked up some chicken (in the old toaster oven) and added the pieces into the (skillet) casserole when I was done.

It came out OK but it wasn't anything to write home about.

While I was searching for the eggplant answer, I found a recipe from Cooking light and I will make that one at some point.

I still have lots of canned tomatoes I need to use and lots of cans of kidney beans too.

I make this fish with fennel seeds and tomatoes that is super healthy, cooked in a skillet and is easy to make.

Yes, I do plan on posting it just not right now as it is 11:29 pm as I write this.

Thank you for your help, Micha.
