Fresh Yeast Cake Story

Misc.
When I was 11 or 12 years old a girl moved to our town that had been very ill. She was so very thin, dark circles under her eyes.
Doctors didn't seem to know what was wrong with her but
they told her to eat fresh yeast cakes twice a day. Supposedly to build up the iron in her blood.
So in class at school, at 10 and 2 the odor of fresh yeast wafted through the classroom as she
took her "medicine".
She grew up to be a lovely woman with 5 children.
Guess the "medicine" worked!
Although I don't think I'd like to eat fresh yeast, I still love the wonderful smell.
And you're right, fresh yeast is much better than the dry.
