Ham Bone Lucky you!

Misc.

Hi Julie: You can use your ham bone to make a nice broth,Just boil it in a large pot of water with some onion and celery, maybe carrot or whatevedr is on hand. After it has boiled a while drain the broth and discard the veggies and ham bone. You can now add what ever you want, potatoes, carrots or noodles and any bits of ham meat you can get off the bone. If the broth does not seem flavourful enough a chicken boullion cube can be added.Adjust the seasoniongs to your taste. Hope this helps,I never use a recipe for homemade soup and it always turns out fine.
