any of the North or South Carolina paper food sections here on TKL - Nibbles ? I think there are 3 from NC - one from Raleigh, one from Winston-Salem and I forget - maybe New Bern (is that in NC?) ....I KNOW that one of them had a lot of articles and some recipes on local fairs this summer/fall. Granted they wouldn't be on the site now -- but some of these papers have a place where you can e-mail the food editor or food dept .... and they just might be able to help you. Hope you find it!
