Hi Micha:
My sewing class is only once a week. I was lucky the snow held off. I picked out two contrasting fabrics at a fabric store and was taught how to sew them together (there is flannel inside). They look great on my table - much better than the vinyl plastic ones I usually keep on it. I figured that when I make pasta with red sauce, I will put the old ones back on. Now that I've learned how to make these placemats, I want to make some more for the upcoming holidays. It was fun being snowed in today.
