Is This "Stewed Tomatoes?"

Misc.

hi,

I, too, had a fabulous Southern cook for a mama. She passed away way too early. How I wish I had all those "comfort food" recipes she carried around in her head.

One thing she did every week was make her "stewed tomatoes." It was canned tomatoes, broken up, with sugar, salt, pepper, celery, onion, and macaroni. Is that similar to what you're looking for? We ate it with cornbread and big glasses of milk.

Thanks for the good memories.

Tanis :o)
