I also contacted the state home economist in Georgia. She said there was a danger of botulism poisoning because of the high sugar content. She suggested buying canning jars that were freezer safe and after making put them in the freezer which is what I have been doing. If I give as a gift, I instruct the person to eat within 2 weeks and if not, put in freezer. I was selling them but am not now because of this problem. Melody in Georgia
