of us who love to read cookbooks! My husband just says 'well, when are we goin to eat all these things!' But we DO try a lot of new recipes, tricks, etc. COOKS ILLUSTRATED is very good. I just found their web site the other day and, hopefully, I bookmarked it! With all these on-line sites, I don't get to go thru my books as much as I should!

I'm wondering, re your meatloaf, perhaps some of the extra good taste came because you did mix it in advance and refrigerate? I'm a firm believer that flavors develop if things have a chance to sit, 'meld', etc. I LOVE to make stews, chilis, etc. a day or 2 in advance - and likewise certain salad mixtures, etc. And then there's marinating.
Sounds like good cooking ...
