Hi Lenore,
Enjoyed reading your family recipe for "wedding soup"...my grandmother, and mother make it almost the same way--only they (and me) drop raw meatball mixture right into the boiling soup...we roll them about the size of an acorn. My family almost always uses "pastina" for the pasta, and the escarole is sometimes left out....You're right about the parmesan....I won't even eat it unless I have a lot of parmigiana for the top, and lots of black pepper...Ummm.
Think I'll cook up a pot!!!!
