You are right, usually Italian wedding soup has some kind of pasta in it. My mother's addition to the soup was the ravioli, but that is not usually used. When I lived in Pittsburgh, the pasta used in the Wedding soup there was usually little stars. But my favorite is the ravioli because of the added flavor of the cheese in the middle. If you try this out, let me know how it tastes - thanks!
