MED, glad to hear it was such a success.

Misc.

Hi MED;
Sounds like a very classy party. I'm pleased that the 1949 fun facts were a part of the celebration. I had forgotten about the presidential greetings available to folks married 50 years and also those who are 80 or more on their birthday. We did that for my Mom and for Jim's Dad when each of them turned 80, and they never did quit talking about the fact that they received a birthday card from the president.
There is a special address where you can send and request these cards. I had it once but lost it. Perhaps Betsy might know what it is, so others here at TKL can take advantage of this service.
MED, you remind me of our youngest daughter, she is the only one of our 5 kids who would go to all the work and preparation that you went to for her folks.
I'm sure it was a labor of LOVE and may I speak for all of us who made suggestions, when I say "It was a genuine pleasure being a very small part of such a momentus occasion"
