Hello Carol,

You are absolutely right when you say "trigo", that is wheatpuff cereal in a milkshake. I have had it and it is pretty good. My favorite though, is the Mamey milkshake. Mamey is a red fruit and I can eat one just from the shell, it is so delicious, sort of like a cherimoya.

Cuban milkshakes, the tropical ones, are made with milk, a little bit of sugar, a dash of salt and lots of cut up tropical fruit. The milkshakes are:

Fruta Bomba (Papaya)
Mamey
Trigo (Wheat)
Leche Malteada (Malted Milk) this one tastes like a malted milk ball!!
Fresa (Strawberry)
Vainilla (Vanilla)
Chocolate(Chocolate)

They are like a Smoothie in texture and very good. The only thing is, they are very fattening. I suppose all milk shakes are...

The Strawberry, vanilla and chocolate ones are made with ice-cream and syrups.

I love all tropical fruits...are there any types of tropical fruits in Jakarta?
