More ideas regarding Holiday Fruit Cake
Misc.Hi Debbie ~
I totally agree that fruit cake is the receipe you want. You came to the right place with this question, for sure.
There are as many ways to make fruit cake as there are great cooks in this lovely World of ours. The "traditional" cake -- as I know it -- is filled with many varieties of candied fruits. This is a very heavy cake. Some people do not particularly like the heavy cakes. Other folks love them. There are also lighter varieties using fewer fruits.
Some wonderful recipes have already been posted here at the RecipeLink. Again, some use many fruits, some use only a few. Some use whiskey and others use brandy, rum, etc. Some have a white texture and some are dark. There are ones titled Mexican, Hawaiian,Canadian and more. Some have frosting and some do not. There are even fruit cake cookies.
You might check these recipes in addition to the ones that are being posted here in reply to your request. I had fun looking at them after seeing your request.
Just do your search for FRUIT CAKE. I searched using the "tried" feature and Wow!
Have fun with this Debbie. Keep us posted.
