Well . . .

Micha I'm glad you like the Grind n Brew. Your spice drawer sounds a little like mine. I had my DH install a piece of sheet metal in my drawer and then I bought magnetic jars with see-through plastic lids from Linens 'n' Things. I, too, made labels on the computer. Now I just pull out the drawer and everything is in alphabetical order. What a breeze!

Brig, regarding the knives. My local Save-Mart and Ace Hardware stores both sharpen knifes. You have to leave them off at Save-Mart but Ace will do it while you wait. Then in between professional sharpening I hone them with my Friedrich Dick stone. Works like a charm! Wow. You're serious when you take your pots and pans to cook somewhere else. I can imagine though. If you have nice, thick-bottomed pots that don't scorch and you're trying to cook in someone else's kitchen in thin aluminum, it's pretty tricky!

Where I used to live we had a mobile knife sharpening man. He would drive through the neighborhood and everyone would bring their knives out to him. Wish I had one here in Tracy but this is really a commuter's town and very few women are home during the day. Sigh . . .
