Misc.Hi Milwaukee:-) I think your recipe would probably specify heavy cream or heavy whipping cream if that is what was intended. My guess is that it means light cream but either the light or heavy cream, in my mind, are both "fresh cream." Maybe if you tell us what the recipe is that you are making, I/we could figure out whether you should use the heavy or light variety. If you choose not to do so, I think I would go with the light cream, then if you are not happy with the final consistency, the next time you make the recipe you could use heavy cream.
