I like these biscuits, made in the southern tradition.

BISCUITS

1/4 CUP SHORTENING
2 CUPS SELF RISING FLOUR
3/4 CUP MILK
PRHEAT OVEN 450. CUT SHORTENING INTO FLOUR.ADD MILK TO MAKE SOFT SLIGHT-
ly WET DOUGH.(YOU MAY NEED MORE MILK)NEED A FEW TIMES ON COUNTER TOP
PAT INTO CIRCLE. CUT OUT BISCUITS WITH A GLASS. PLACE SIDE BY SIDE ON COOKIE
SHEET. BAKE FOR 12-15 MINUTES,OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
