So sorry, for the life of me I cannot find the original source! It's likely in an archive I no longer have access to. Might I suggest, however, you search the very very helpful digitized newspapers available through the Library of Congress: https://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/ ? You can limit the search to the year 1924 alone.
