re: robb about the jap. cake

i had a look at the rec. cathy mentioned ant it reminded me the honey cake my mother makes. since my japanese is as lousy as my german (which is also practiced in the family), i didn't recognize what you wrote. i think my mother adds fresh lemon juice, or orange juice in some occassions. does this sound the same? you know, just want to make sure. i can't find mom's rec. here with me. (she is currently on a vacation visiting family in germany.) i will ask her once she returns home. but i can't promise anything sice i am not sure if it's the same cake... perhaps it's just something she makes up... mom is well-known of "inventing" something that doesn't really exsist...
