those two recipes are for something entirely different the first is a icing for a cake and the second zabaglonie is like a custard sauce to put on fruit or cake.they are not for the same thing one .the vsecond is for zabagloieand the first a buttercream icing for cake,you donot want the butter to melt you want it incorpate in by beating small portions at a time the zaglonie is a custard like sauce which explains the difference between the two
