Recipe(tried): Cududua (Italian Easter Cookies)

To Tyler in Denver re Cududua (recipe). I am sure we are talking about the same cookie although our recipes vary. My nonna made these in various shapes and I distictly remember the "horeshoe" and these were decorated the same as you describe. I've been researching these across the internet and have come up with different recipes to try. If the picture loads correctly, these are from this past Easter.
