Recipe: Decorator Cookies from Nancy (using powdered sugar)

DECORATOR COOKIES FROM NANCY

1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups sifted flour
green and/or red colored sugar (for rolling)

Combine sugar and butter. Add remaining ingredients (except colored sugar), one at a time, beating well.

Shape into walnut sized balls and roll in green and/or red sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
