Removing Furn-a-dents
Misc. Bonnie, this has always worked for me.
Place a damp terry cloth towel over the carpet ghosts and use your steam iron to help plump up the fibers. Just rub or comb the dent likely after steaming and the pile should return to normal. You might have to steam it more than once.
Be careful not to burn yourself! Good luck.
