Request: luau in alaska

I am having a luau for the 4th of July and I am in need of some "cool" ideas; no pun intended. I found this web site by mistake and I am pleased with it so far. Need decorating ideas, easy recipes for a small party of about 20 close friends. Any help would be greatly appreciated from your friend from the North.
