Smoked turkey in scalloped potatoes

Misc.

Hi Joel!

While I havent smoked my own turkey, I have put leftover meat in with the scalloped potatoes before I popped them in the oven (course provided that y'all LIKE scalloped potatoes that is).

Speaking of turkey.... I made your meatloaf Joel with ground turkey instead of all the other ground meat varieties. I know you said not to improvise, but I had such a craving for meatloaf, it was torrentially pouring outside, and turkey was all I had so I used that. I must say that it came out fantastic!! Even my husband, who ordinarilly doesnt care for meatloaf, loved it! The glaze really does add a wonderful flavor and it came out very moist (something I've had trouble pulling off with turkey meatloaf).

Anyway... back to my hurricane preparations as we are under hurricane watch right now (hurricane warning is the next step if Georges moves any closer -- they say we'll get hit possibly Thursday nite, Friday a.m. if it continues this way).

Take care :)
Julie
