That is why I leave the Kiwi is thick slices if someone (like my sister in law) doesn't like it they can pick it out.
The beauty of this kind of salad is you can use whatever kinds of fruit your family likes. I have done it with just canned fruit and it was still good.
The important thing is the dressing. The original did not have the Cool Whip in it and being Minnesotians we must have whipped cream or Cool Whip in our fruit salad. And before anyone asks, I have tried adding mini marshmallow (another midwest think) and I didn't think it enhanced it, however it would be a good stretcher if you are serving a large group.
