Visiting Son - Mom's Cooking!
Misc.ADVERTISEMENT
I flew up to N. California for my son's HS Graduation and brought him home with me for a two week visit. I'm enjoying cooking for him and asked him to tell me what dishes he'd like. Here's what we've had so far, or I will be making:
Breakfast/Mid-Afternoons:
Fresh, organic fruit smoothies usually a combination of strawberries, apple and banana; in the afternoon organic carrot, apple, orange & pineapple or beet, carrot, cranberry, apple combos done in my Vita-Mix
Lunch:
Sliced roast beef from Costco put on an onion or sesame bagel, with cheddar cheese, dijon mustard then grilled on the GF grill until the cheese is melted; Ezekiel bread and cheddar grilled cheese sandwiches; French dip sandwiches (same roast beef); Crab Salad with 'crab' from Costco, mixed lettuces, lemon juice, hb eggs, tomatoes, avocados, homemade 1000 Island dressing
Dinners:
1) My great-grandmother's Swedish Meatballs
2) Vegetarian Lasagne
3) Taco Salad
4) Hebrew National Hot dogs with Chili or Sauerkraut
5) Kielbasa, sauerkraut and country skillet potatoes
6) Homemade Mac n Cheese
7) Chicken Tortilla Casserole
I have a 2nd interview tomorrow (for a company that I interviewed with last week) to meet the VP's, CEO, etc, so I'm very excited and very nervous! Keeping my fingers crossed! I need to get back to work!
Take care! Love, GinSing
