I was looking for it too and I found this:
HOMEMADE CINNAMON CHIPS
"Mixing melted butter with lots of cinnamon, freezing it and then grating it while it is still frozen."
I would add some sugar to it and keep the grated pieces in the freezer to use them as needed.
